We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanic to maintain and repair vehicles and machinery in a timely and efficient manner. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in diagnosing mechanical issues, conducting routine maintenance, and ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them.
- Inspect and test vehicles and equipment to identify issues.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Repair or replace worn parts and systems, such as spark plugs, brake pads, belts, and sensors.
- Use diagnostic tools to identify and troubleshoot mechanical faults.
- Maintain accurate records of services and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members and report to supervisors on job progress.
- Recommend additional services or repairs when necessary.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in automotive/mechanical repair preferred.
- Proven experience as a mechanic (auto, diesel, or equipment, depending on job).
- Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license (required or preferred depending on the role).
Preferred Skills:
- ASE certification or similar credentials.
- Knowledge of computerized repair and diagnostic systems.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position, may require overtime or weekend shifts.
- Work performed in garages or repair shops; may require standing for long periods and working in varying weather conditions.
